Recently have made some of these as gifts and really love the way they turned out.
You need:
1. A recycled glass jar
2. Several sheets of cute coordinated papers (to print on)
3. Fun things to embellish and style your jar
(I used, alcohol inks to stain the jars, then stamped and embossed family initial on the lid, and tied off with hemp and a tag).
* Since your items are printed on cute papers, the alcohol inks wouldn't have to be used, as the cute papers would show through and make a cute display.
Here's a link for some ideas of conversation starters for families, I found once I started jotting items down, my mind just went wild with all kinds of fun questions. The really awesome thing is, you can add to this as you please, by just typing up the questions and printing out).
What you'll need to do:
1.Make a list of your favorite questions or conversation starters in a Word document (cut & paste makes quick work of this), and then print them on the white side of your printed paper.
2. Cut into strips and fold strips so that the patterned sides show out and put in your glass jar.
3. Decorate your jar.
4. Have some great conversation and laughs with you family at the dinner table =)
Got inspired here.
Enjoy!
