Knott's Berry Farm

A few months back, I realized that the kids were going to be out of school on my ACTUAL birthday, so we decided I wanted to do something really fun with them. After thinking about what we might want to do, we decided on Knott's Berry Farm. Neither of us had been in many years, and the kids had never been. So we loaded up and away we went.

We had such an awesome time enjoying the many wonderful attractions at Knott's. There is something so magical and magnificent about experiencing a place like this through the eyes of your children. It was so fun to see how both of them took everything in, looking high overhead at the many coasters, stopping to chat with the conductor of the train, and reveling in the magic of the stage shows. One of my most favorite moments was strolling through the park at night with all the amazing lights and evening programs.

Drew was so curious about the roller coasters, often squatting down to get a better view of how exactly they worked. He would ask to stop and watch as they went by several times in a row, just so that he could take in all of the mechanics of how it operated. He was ready to take on any and all coasters, but he still needs to get a bit bigger before he is allowed on most.

Alyssa found a favorite in the Sierra Sidewinder roller coaster, the cars spin in circles as they go along the roller coaster track. She approached it with caution and reserve the first time we rode, but then wanted to do it over and over agin once she made her first voyage.
